My DC applied to PSU, UMD, MICH, Purdue nov 1 and Still haven't heard. He Applied for Engineering. I am getting nervous because 2 years ago older DC heard within weeks from most and didn't even have a major!
Is this normal? He looks great on Naviance and guidance counselor says his schools are realistic.

Just got accepted to Purdue!

I saw an earlier thread about engineering schools. But didn't want to restart an old thread.

DS is a junior 3.76, 2130 sat, 32 act. Very strong in AP physics and calc. He likes UMD because of proximity to NASA.

I'm sure he would be annoyed if he found out I was Asking, but any reccomendations?

UMD CP is end of Jan if you applied by Nov 1.

Mich is standard early action, not rolling. They say they notify by dec 24 but I would guess it will be dec 19. I think UMD is the same, with a mid December notification date. You may want to take a look at each schools website for what they say about notification dates.

Purdue does not send its first acceptances until mid-December (if it was submitted complete by Nov. 1). PSU sent DC's acceptance two weeks after everything was submitted. If your DC hasn't heard from them, have DC check ze's account on PSU's website to make sure everything was submitted. I don't know about UMD or Mich.
