Try dating a man that is slightly older than you, who is mature, has a career and will appreciate you. You want a man to treat you like a lady, not like an older sister
OP here. I've actually not really dated older than me for a couple years, and even then the oldest I've dated is one year older. I dont really like when a guy tries to act like a "man" and call all the shots.. it's not a turn on for me.
If anything I like to call the shots, which is why same age or younger has always worked for me. But I'm really shocked and turned off by this immaturity here. It just seems so... childish. I guess I would be open to dating older, so long as he was respectful
OP, frankly, you sound rather immature yourself. Predicting here that you will go through many more guys before you find The One, so just enjoy. If you like spending time with him, do so. If and when you don't, move on. I guarantee you this is not a permanent relationship that you are currently in.
Oh no, it's not permanent. To be frank, I'm not really looking for a boyfriend, per se, or thinking super long term about these things. And certainly not with him. I was really turned off by his rudeness to me and haven't responded to his messages since this incident (other than the "dude..." text I sent back), but I wanted to get DCUM's confirm that he's a jerk.
Old DCUMers know that emails and texts often come across unintentionally as rude because you can't always get the nuance.
My guess would be he's joking around and kind of immature, or at worst trying to make you think the clock is ticking for you so you'll want to give it up if you ever hook up in person.
But, then, you don't seem to have much invested in the "relationship," nor do I have much invested in this thread, so we can all go on to something else, right?
