My dad sits around the house in his hole-ridden, stained tighty-whities. He's been doing it since I was a kid. I used to have to enter the house first and tell my friends to wait outside a minute when I cam home from school to tell him to go get dressed. It was gross when he was 40-something, and it's gross now that he's 70. This doesn't fix your problem. I just wanted to share.

Walking around in a gown is not half naked. Walking around in a bra and panties is. But, if she had a bra on and nothing else, I guess that would be ok, right?

OP probably mentioned chubby to emphasize the grossness of the situation. Regardless of MILs appearance, this is inappropriate to do when you are a guest in someone's home.

You're a woman complaining that her fat mother in law is wearing a dress with no bra underneath it and is sitting in your house with the dress riding up to her fat thighs. Sounds a bit piggish to me.

Eew. Reminds me of the time I saw my MIL's butt crack coming out of her jeans, and the time I had to hug her when she had B.O. Nasty. She doesn't bathe when she visits either and I'm not sure she owns a bra. I feel your pain.

Good God. A warm comfy quilt with a cup of warmed liquor drink is in order...pop in an old fashioned Sound of Music sort of video put out a cheese/cracker plate and. problem should be solved.

I can totally see myself becoming that MIL. I am constantly in a state of undress. A long t-shirt is what I wear at night. My DH and kids have given up on me. I do shave my legs in summer however. In winter I let the fur cover me, so I do not look that naked.
