I like Julia but can't shake a stick in my crowd without hitting one. I know 4 under the age of 8.
I like Julie.

I'm a Julie and I vote for Juliet. Julie is too mom-ish for this generation. Julia is too common.

In the order in which I like them
Julianna -- beautiful, lots of nickname choices, Jules/Julie/Julia and also Annie/Anna
Julia -- also beautiful
Julie-- I don't like it quite as much but it's fine
Juliet, maybe the prettiest sound of all, but too closely associated with the suicidal heroine for me

1. Julia - love it, but it's more common than I like
2. Juliet/Juliette - like it a lot, but it feels like it's trying a little too hard
3. Julie - Feels dated to me, but it's a pretty name

Julia -- like it, is it becoming popular like PPs suggest?
Julie -- agree it sounds a bit dates (Julie McCoy your cruise director, anyone?)
Julianna -- like it, but may be becoming popular; I know a couple babies with that name
Juliet -- like it but as drunk, immature 20-somethings in a beach town, after a mother called after her daughter Juliet a million times, we started saying "Romeo, Romeo" so be ready for that around drunk, immature 20-somethings

Julie is a nickname, not a name. Go with Julia.
Julie is the French version of Julia.
Do you also think that Louise is a nickname, not a name, and the name is Louisa?

I have a Julianna that we call Julie - though since age 3 she exclusively introduces herself as Julianna so we try to remember to introduce her that way too.
There's a Juliana in her preschool but not in her class. I also know a high school age Juliana. I've run across a few Juliets (not sure about spelling) that go by Julie as well.
So I'd go with Julianna, Julia, or Juliet, leaving the door open to using Julie as a nickname.
