PP who's bringing up race in this equation, I never realized the owner is black and I've been going there for years. (I actually assumed it was the white guy with the beard b/c he is always there working.) I highly, highly doubt race had anything to do with this. Just a PO'd customer.

Bingo. A patron was there a while ago and asked to use the restroom. When she was told that there was no public restroom she complained and Old Town Market was forced to remove their seating. Why Continental Pizza and Donut King can have seating but no restroom is an enigma. Thanks bitchy patron for wrecking it for the rest of us. You couldn't just hold it until you got home? Did you take umbrage to the fact that one of the proprietor is African American or that the married proprietors are of mixed races? So sad. Old Town Market is a great addition to Kensington.

I agree that it's too bad, but don't you think you are jumping to the race card a little too quickly? What basis do you have to make those assumptions?

The observations of a lifetime. BTW, I am white.

I have no idea the race of most business owners or care. I have never been as the food was expensive and most of it premade and needed heating.

A bathroom could easily be $10-20,000 with new plumbing. You would think they have a bathroom and just want it for themselves.
