It's a long answer, but the short version is that I don't trust the cloud. This setup has worked almost perfectly for two years. Ah gotcha. My father is the same way, but I would prefer the cloud than managing my own LAMP stack. Zero passion here for server administration

I freaked out a little this morning when the forums weren't working....,made me realize how addicted I am. And interesting that so many Ed users, my gov office started blocking this site. Has saved me tons of goofing off at work though.

Back up. There were a few messages lost. I have no idea how many. But, I know there was on thread in Website Feedback. Probably not a lot. I'm holding by breath until Tuesday when the new servers arrive. It will take a day or two to configure them, but then live should be good.

The database cluster has totally gone up in flames tonight. I'm working to restore it, but there may be some data loss.
