I try to do this for my kids too--literally takes 2 minutes and the protein keeps the brain going longer than the up-then-crash from breads or sugars.

That sounds yummy but is it ok to eat eggs everyday?

I love breakfast but my regular breakfast is berries (frozen this time of year) and Greek yogurt. Sometimes I have poached/scrambled eggs with an English muffin. I would love to eat pancakes, muffins, doughnuts, muffins all the time but I try to be healthier than that. I'm not holier than thou and will have that stuff on vacation or a special occasion but not regularly. I'm more of a savory person in general so don't get between me and the french fries or potato chips or someone will get hurt.

When I started to think about it, DH is a very traditional breakfast person- muffin, donut, bacon and eggs with pancakes, etc. almost always something sweet included.

I'm an anything goes for breakfast person. If there's leftovers in the fridge, I'm good. The thought of something sticky and sweet at breakfast actually grosses me out a bit. I'd rather eat noodles or something spicy, than a muffin.

This got me thinking because I've been looking at going paleo, and I suppose this won't bother me. But DH would die if breakfast was not as it "should be".

What kind of breakfast person are you? Traditional or anything goes?

-Coffee and cream, 2 whole wheat toasts With butter and jam.
Or
-Coffee and cream, croissant.
I have been eating the same breakfast for years.

I'm with you, OP. I eat leftovers for breakfast all the time. Or cheese and fruit. Traditional breakfast foods are icky.

PP here. My husband makes salad with broccoli slaw for breakfast!

Any savory item is fair game. I don't eat sweets in the AM, or wheat or dairy so that eliminates a lot in the traditional breakfast vein.

If I could I'd have a bagel with cream cheese every day: it keeps me full. But I'm trying to eat healthy. So yesterday, inspired by the Whole 30 diet, I had two eggs with chicken sausage. It was quite delicious. But I was still hungry before lunch.

If I eat anything for breakfast, it needs to be protein-heavy. If I just eat carbs, I'll be starving in two hours - I'm actually better off not eating anything. Eggs (my current favorite is an egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted whole-grain bagel), Greek yogurt with fruit and honey, bacon or sausage. I love pancakes and waffles, but generally only have them on weekends and paired with a protein.

We are the same people! When I have a bowl of cereal, even if it's high fiber/protein, I end up having to have something else 2 hours later. But I love cereal and still eat it.

Used to do Greek yogurt with add ins. I've been doing a green smoothie every day-- unsweetened almond milk, spinach, sometimes a few dates that were soaked in almond milk over night, frozen banana, ground flax seed, maca powder and PB. It's actually pretty tasty. Sometimes I add berries if I have.

Traditional, but I'm flexible. I rarely have anything besides coffee in the morning these days, but when I do it's a veggie omelet or oatmeal (or a fiber bar on the go).

I am equal opportunity as well.

My husband is staunchly in the traditional camp. Even in our younger days of sleeping in and going to a late brunch, he insisted that the first meal of the day MUST consist of traditional breakfast foods.

I like leftovers, avocado toast, etc., and tend to lean towards savory/spicy things on a regular breakfast menu (veggie omelet, huevos rancheros...).
