DD opened the car door, the wind caught it and I now think it dinged the car beside us (slight paint, but no dent) When it happened I got out to check and the ding was a little below the pointed part of our door. And there was no paint on our car's point. I left, not leaving a note. Got home, got on my knees in sunlight and examined the door again. I saw there was some paint on the under curve of the door (tough to explain here, but it was under the pointed part). Loaded the kids back up, went back to leave a note and the car was gone. I saw the same car at a light pulling out of the shopping center and stalked them, but didn't see a mark. I headed home and called the store. They said no one reported anything and laughed when I tried to leave my information. I will call them again tomorrow to see if anyone complained.
Should I call the nonemergency number for our county? Will they even take my information?
Feeling like an a$$ that I didn't look closer/under the curve of the door when I was there.
