I'm the "same here" poster. It's funny, the sleep deprivation almost made me want it more. L DH and I barely had enough alone time together when we weren't totally comatose that when we were alone together all I could think of was sex! DH was the one who was too sleep deprived and couldn't keep up with my wanting it every day! We were about 4-5 times a week before DS and since DS was born 2.5 years ago, we've been steadily at 3-4 times a week.

5 months both times. Just was not remotely in the mood with all if the sleep deprivation.

No tearing after vb but I did bleed for a solid 6 weeks postpartum. Didn't have sex until 3 months pp and it was terrible. Tried again at 6 months - still pretty awful. I didn't get my drive back until I quit nursing well after a year. Fortunately, I'm the higher drive spouse so we were fine. It came back with a vengeance as soon as I quit nursing and is gone again now that I'm pregnant. It really varies for everyone.

Me again - forgot to mention that I think a lot of other factors play in. For example, #1 really struggled with nursing (turned out he was tongue tied, but we didn't figure that out until about 3 months). I had about 4-5 cases of mastitis in the first few months, and my nipples were in constant pain and frequently bled. Hard to feel sexy when the breasts are in so much pain. #2 had no such problems nursing.

First - about 8-10 weeks, I think. Vaginal delivery with some tearing; it was probably another few months before I could do it without pain or dryness.

#2 was a lot faster, I was ready by the six week mark. I did tear again, but not as badly.

5 weeks with the first.

8 weeks with second.

Both easy vaginal deliveries.

Two weeks after my cs.

Five weeks post cesarean. For some reason my sex drive has been high since about 3 weeks out.

I'm more dry than usual, for sure, but we make it work.

Waited until bleeding stoped.

8 weeks with each pregnancy.

About 8-10 weeks with both babies. But with DC #1, I had tearing *and* an episiotomy and it was so painful that we had to stop literally mid-course. It took 9 mos till things felt "normal" again. Second delivery resulted in only minimal tearing and the first time was bearable and things were more or less normal by 4-5 mos. So moral is: it will depend greatly on your experience. Trust your instincts.

Natural childbirth. 8 weeks after the first baby - At 6 weeks we were traveling and then when I got cleared it took me a week to pull my shit together and go for it.

6 weeks after the second baby.

Yep, 6 weeks is the norm, and we fooled around a bit earlier but went slow and took our time. You'll know when you know.

Btw, Congrats!

I had a couple of stitches for tiny tears and they took about a week to dissolve and then it took another week and a half or so for me to start feeling normal downstairs.

I never lost my sex drive either and did not experience dryness or breastfeeding issues that interfered with our sex life.
