We use the halo sleep sacks with the foot holes for our 2.5 year old. He refuses to sleep with a blanket touching him! Didn't need it in the summer but just reintroduced it with the cooler weather.

We dropped the sleep sack about a month ago when our son (15 mo at the time) outgrew the large size and I was too cheap to buy another set. I was so sure he'd be waking up more because of kicking off his blanket but it hasn't been an issue yet. I'm still a bit worried about how it will be as it gets colder in the house in winter, but so far it's gone well.

My almost 3-yr-old is still using hers. She kicks off any covers not attached to her.

We transitioned DS off it at 2.75, and we did gave a few rough nights, but he adjusted and went back to being a great sleeper. He was starting preschool and moving to a toddler bed so we told him there were no sleepsacks there. He was in the last size of the brand we've loved (Swaddle Designs--the 12-18m size fit a 60th percentile kiddo till 2.75, FWIW) and I didn't want to go hunting for a new brand when we had a good window to wean him off it. We did buy a special blanket for his new bed and made a big deal about that.

Baby Dee Dee sleep sacks are much longer than the Halo ones. My tall 18 month old is wearing one and there's lots of room left. Bought it on Amazon.
