We give her a bath 5-6 days a week using minimal, mild soap. We rinse her hair and scrub it a bit - basically the same action we'd use with shampoo - at almost every bath, but only wash it 1-2 times a week. Since it is relatively straight, we are able to brush it thoroughly every day without too many complaints. This approach is based on what I've learned to do with my own, very oily hair. Brushing and water scrubbing moves the oil down the hair, and hair is less oily if you don't use harsh shampoo all the time. We all have sensitive skin and have benefited (e.g., have saved money on moisturizer) from using less soap. Plus, my DD has allergies and eczema, so we don't want to damage her healthy skin bacteria too much. Her skin and hair look (and smell) great
