You have small, small kids, OP. As do I. And I, and everyone else I know with very little ones, feel the same way. The good news is I am told it gets much better in a few years. I can tell that's probably true because my 4-year-old is SO much easier than my 1-year-old. I can't wait until the 1-year-old is 3 or 4, and we are done with diapers and naps and carrying a huge bag everywhere and just overall constant constant need. I dream of being able to do something in one part of the house while my kids are playing independently in another part. And that will come. But with tiny kids -- especially twins! -- this is just how life is right now. Try your best to enjoy the small moments because the day will come when you will look back on these days and you won't believe how quickly they went and how quiet your house is without little ones underfoot.
