I delivered my two with Arlington Women's Center, Dr. Born and Dr. Biggs, respectively. Fine experience.

Another who used Elliott and Lashgari. Really liked them.

But it's right downstairs! I was concerned about this initially, too, but it ends up being a good thing because you get your ultrasound read by a very experienced tech and an MFM doctor will come talk to you every time. It's more thorough!

Not being able to confirm the HB or pregnancy at my 9 week appointment just freaked me out. I am high risk too. I think it's a great practice, I just need the extra comfort of the machine in-house even though I also go to the MFM.

You couldn't go see MFM at 9 weeks? I transferred there at 20 weeks so I had my early appointments elsewhere...

That was my first appointment. I have gone to MFM every other visit since then.

I don't know Dr. Borelli but I love this practice. I almost miss them now that I only go for annuals!

I just delivered at VHC with Karen King from Arlington women's center. She's a midwife but I also love the OBGYNs at that practice (Dr. Mary Crowther, Dr. Amanda Roane). Karen happened to be on call on the day and I'm so glad it was her. We had a wonderful experience.

Piness - I was with lashgari/elliott/borelli and she was on call when i gave birth. She is wonderful, and if you dont get her on call at birth at least lashgari/elliott/borelli is still highly regarded.

It is a drag, but FWIW, it's mostly been doable to schedule same-day appointments with the VHC MFM folks (the Reyes/Vyas/etc practice). I've had more co-managed care this time around, but to the best of my knowledge, the other practices at VHC that have in-house ultrasounds don't have an in-house MFM/high-risk specialist, so you'd still be referred out for high risk care, anyway.
