Not true. Some still do. Every pair of Joes I own will bag out. I've had better luck with Paige, but they will start to sag slightly by the end of the day. 7FAM fit nicely, but the material gets holes after a while. I had good luck with COH so far.
I recently bought a pair of DL Premium Denim jeans and so far they have NOT stretched out, as advertised! I'm very happy with them. They were really expensive (I think $180) but it is worth it to not have that baggy-butt look by midday and not to have to wash them every single time you wear them just to get them to fit again.
The only other pair of jeans I have that don't stretch out are a pair of 10 year old Earls, which may not even exist anymore. They are a much heavier type of denim than most jeans are these days. I find Gap and Banana Republic both VERY stretch-out-y.
