I think you can buy timed tix in advance for the Eiffel Tower now. I would not try to do Versailles but ymmv. The orangerie is worth a visit if you want to see Monets water lilies.

Been to Paris several times and have lived in France: Mahe sure you learn and use the French words for hello, please, thank you, sorry, check please, and a few other basics. Don't be That American who complains about "rude" Parisians. In ever once had a rude experience in Paris, or elsewhere in France, likely because I made the attempt to speak basics in their language.
