Fair Oaks has a Crazy 8, Gymbo, Naartjie and Janie & Jack all very close to one another. Children's Place is a little ways down the mall as is Gap Kids. It doesn't have a Nordstrom, but there are 2 Macys (one used to be a Hechts) a JCP, Sears, Lord & Taylor and H&M. There's also a Stride Rite if you need children's shoes. THe L&T has little to no selection of children's shoes. I think there's a Justice too. The play area has been renovated within the last year or so but it's always quite crowded.

Dulles is bit quiet but if you want kids stuff, they have Crazy 8, Gymbo, Children's Place, Old Navy, Justice, Nordstrom, Stride Rite and a pretty good size food court with a recently renovated children's play area, along with the carousel & train rides. This play area is pretty good sized and doesn't seem to be as overwhelming as the one at Fair Oaks.

I usually go to Tyson's and the Galleria because I live close. Between the two, they have basically everything I need.
