Just another example of indoctrination -- you only learn what they want you to learn.
These days, when so much objective information is available, it's harder for religions to assume that their teachings won't be contradicted by outside information.
That stuff about Jesus treating men and women equally is a new twist, too -- in some mainstream religions -- didn't use to hear much about that. It was all about women obeying their husbands.

right, disregard facts and go to a service and "see for yourself" that it's what pp says it is. It's not just "OK" with pp that moronism is not christianity, it's essential to pp that people disregard how Mormons perceive themselves and instead see it pp's way - the ONE TRUE WAY?
My goodness! If you truly believe that the "facts" you noted from the Mormon website are correct, why on earth would you be concerned with someone attending a service? Anyone that attends a service or, even better, a sacrament meeting, would be capable of making their own conclusions about the LDS faith. Isn't Taft what all that "free agency" is for PP?
the official Mormon website is the most accurate source of what Mormons believe. They believe they are Christians. If you don't think so, fine, but that is your personal opinion.
Some people don't think Roman Catholics are Christians, but that doesn't change the fact that they are Christian -- and were long before the various Protestant denominations. And it says nothing about the validity of Catholic beliefs. The same holds for any other religion.

Mormonism could be viewed as a Christian heresy.
Christianity could be viewed as a Jewish heresy.
Islam could be viewed as a Christian heresy. Actually, it probably is closer to Judaism and could be viewed as well as a Jewish heresy that also accepts Jesus as a prophet.

Jesus is not a main figure in the church. Nor do they believe that his death and resurrection was for the forgiveness of our sins. So, no, it is not a Christian religion, despite the pr inspired name change that occurred in the 1970's.
