I bet the next thing you will be calling for is a radical quota for the Ferguson police department.

They don't need racial quotas. Ferguson doesn't pay enough to attract black police officers. The cops who work here come from way outside the city and the inner suburbs and they work for cheap. For example, U City has lots of black cops, but they pay more.

DOD is the only federal dept that actually gets cut. IE less money than the year before and still does the job with less

It proves that only the conservatives can withstand cutting the budget and liberals are responsible for the debt.

As a liberal who works with an extremely effective police department and local public safety system, with a low crime rate compared to neighboring jurisdictions and an even lower recidivism rate, I disagree. We need much better trained police who understand community policing. It's about relationship-building with the community and community leaders. Pro-actively preventing crime by addressing its causes, and working with the community (the ultimate stakeholders here) to solve problems. Going through the neighborhood like bullies with billy clubs does nothing but cause more trouble.
