I'm 41 and another proud Colgate alumna. I think these would be better with the actual seal (Deo ac Veritati) on them rather than the C, but I still wouldn't wear them.

Or you'd wear them to a TAILGATE party? No. Honey, you should be wearing sneakers to a tailgate party. Not pretentious shoes that would look appropriate on Hugh Hefner while wearing a smoking jacket.
I have a 23 year old and if he tried to spend $325 on such ugly shoes for such lame purposes, I would honestly feel I'd failed as a parent.
