She's in elementary school so no way of refrigerating perishable snacks. I've tried using a small ice pack system but their snack isn't until closer to 3pm and my daughter goes to before care, so it's not like her food comes straight from the fridge to school. Also confusing b/c the teacher has asked parents to send enough snack in so that they can sometimes do twice a day snack, but she won't tell us the days she's doing it so hard to know how much to send in.
You need to ask the teacher for clarification. When my kids were in elementary public, we were asked to send in snacks individually wrapped for the entire class. So you can find potato chips, chocolate chips, popcorn, pretzels, etc.
