Personally , I would just ask for a brief meeting. Ask if you can set up 10 min to talk about your kids progress.
If you keep emailing, you turn into a pain in the butt and will not get the answers you want. You need to strategize, email not working, try face to face . Running to the principal about this will just create unnecessary hostility, get you labeled and make it less likely for the teacher to see you as a partner in your kids education.

Teachers sent home papers when the official scores came in, including info on local percentiles. Kids usually remember their scores anyway (I think they flash across the screen when the test ends) but it was helpful to receive more context from the teachers. That was in ES. Nothing from the MS yet, just our kids' recollection of the scores.

That has not been my experience at all. There has been a lot of communication with all of the teachers my children had in elementary school.

My experience has also been that teachers are responsive. Sometimes they forget or they don't get around to answering. But, the overwhelming majority of my kids' teachers answer. I'd probably make the request one more time and in the request I'd ask that if the teacher is not the correct person to direct the inquiry, could she please let you know whom you should contact.
