Lasagna is perfect with salad and bread. Jumbalya is great too with bread. You could do a roast. You could also go to Wegmans and buy the meat ready to go with directions on how to cook it. Just put it in your own pan and they will think you did it.

Pot roast or pulled pork shoulder. Super easy and impressive.

OP here. Thanks all! These are great ideas! I do want to impress a tiny bit, but it is so true, with kids involved, all that kind of goes out the window and turns it into a more casual gathering!
