Uh, maybe think about what you're saying before you call people dumb. I agree eggs left out overnight are probably safe, but they can have cracks in them that you can't see that let dangerous bacteria in. OP, I'd just make sure to cook the whole batch thoroughly — meaning no runny yolks.

Well, then I'm screwed every time I go to the grocery store. From the time I put the eggs into my cart until the time they hit my fridge at home, far more than 20 minutes have gone by!

For many recipes you are supposed to have eggs room temperature which means leaving them out much longer than 20 minutes. I try to remember to take them out at least an hour before cooking and haven't died yet.
