I've worked in big law for a very long time. IMO, about 70% of lawyers are indeed sociopaths or just generally bat shit crazy.

DH and I watched the pilot last night. We both commented that he resembles C Thomas Howell in Rain Man!
Agree with the deer in the headlights look but I found it kind of endearing. His expression was just so over the top I couldn't help but like it.
