Bumping this... Does anyone else who had kids go more than one week have thoughts on the "every week is kinda the same" feeling?

My 13 years old son is rite now at camp, he went last year and love it. It is a wonderful place for kids to spend the summer.

We're sending DS there for his third year. It's a great camp, low-key, run by good people.

Camp Twin Creeks is a good two week camp.

Apparently nothing really happens on the weekends aside from watching departing kids live and seeing new campers come. The second week there were many repeated activities and instructions for the new campers. Based on that I will likely look for a camp with 2 week sessions for next summer. Not a bad review at all but just know it is designed around a one week stay..though some kids do stay longer...only 4 out of 14 in DC cabing stayed for more then 1 week.

This is a really helpful post. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

I didn't mean to say the activities were like family to me. That doesn't make any sense lol. I meant to say they were really fun or something like that...whatever

This thread is so old...but I have to say. I'm 13 and I stayed for two weeks this summer. It was the best experience of my life. My counselors and the girls in my cabin were like family to me, all the activities were like family to me, and I never wanted to leave. Next year I'm staying for four weeks (:
