This is not a positive unless you are 23. I like LV, but know a number of families that moved out because they couldn't stand the partying atmosphere and its detritus on their lawn.
nightlife.

And yet there is so much on Real Estate saying "almost got tricked into buying there" etc. The neighborhood around it is a good neighborhood. I go to daycare in 22207 and it seems so nice.
What gives? What am I missing?
People troll neighborhoods and school districts. I can think of four reasons
1. They own in a competing place, and think this will increase the value of their home.
2. They moved from that place, and need to justify it to themselves
3. They either live there and want to lower their property value so they pay less tax or they are looking to move there, and want to lower prices
4. Its fun to push people's buttons.
5. They can't afford the square footage or lot size they desire so they trash it.
6. They lost multiple bids.
7. The only thing going on in their neighborhood is schools.-while the SFH zoned to W-L have metro and walkability and nightlife.

Name a school with a similar commute to DC with higher rated schools of equal caliber offered at the same price point
Yorktown, McLean, BCC, etc... if I am paying a million plus for a house I want a well rated school not up and coming bull shit.
PP from above. OK, please provide links to these schools in McLean and Bethesda that are the same price point. If people could 22201 prices to live in 22101, they would do so!

And schools with no poors. Look at the list the other person provided of "better" schools than W-L (32% of kids on FARMS) -- Yorktown (15% FARMS), Whitman (<5%), B-CC (11%). People want to keep their kids in the bubble.
