It gives me a good excuse to sip an extra cup of coffee.

The start of a downward eating spiral...halloween candy, thanksgiving carbs, Christmas cookies, etc.

Hate summer. Love every freaking thing about Fall! No more sweating, cute clothes, great food, start of a new school year, football games, the build up to the holidays! What's not to love??

I find summer depressing. To each his own. Hope fall and winter go by fast for you, OP. Or that you get to take a fabulous warm-weather vacation!

Oh, I don't know why, but I've always loved the idea of summer, and sun, and all things hot

And then comes winter ... That's almost as bad.

I miss summer already even though it's technically still here.

Wow, this could almost be a poem.

This is it for me too. Fall in and of itself isn't the problem, it's the trending towards winter that I cannot stand. I actually hate November the most of any month in the calendar -- even worse than the boring and cold months of January and February. By the same token, March isn't so bad because I can feel spring coming...

I love every season. Just when summer starts to suck it, along comes fall. Glorious fall. Then Winter. Then I get sick of winter. And here comes Spring. Glorious spring. Then Summer. Yeah.

Fall is the only thing I like about the East Coast.

I love that we have seasons and get tired of all of them by the end of each.
Me too. I'm so excited for Fall!

+1

I feel you OP. And I actually love fall, but it brings with it the knowledge that this is the long haul of cold. Or maybe my northern Wisconsin upbringing reminds me how godawful it was. Try to focus on the present and the positive, get some sunlight therapy, a treadmill, and a shit ton of Vitamin D. That helped me not hate winters. That and moving here where winter is usually more like "winter."

Love fall, but hate winter. Is it really going to be a cold one again? The polar vortex seemed to go on forever last year. I also hate all the ice on the roads.

I was hoping we had avoided any of these heat waves. Last week was brutal - especially since I'm 9 months pregnant and have to walk to and from school to drop off and pick up my elementary schooler

Argh.

I can finally walk to work without needing a shower when I get here, I can drink hot coffee again, I can take walks and be outside ALL DAY LONG without stinking or getting sunburnt, I can bake my favorite things, I can gorge on pumpkin and pear and mulled wine, I can smell the fresh air!, I feel so damn alive and romantic in autumn.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely agree.
Summers in Washington are utterly miserable! We got lucky this year that it wasn't too humid and hot, but 90-degree days plus high humidity in September made me, once more, realize how much I hate summers here.

Yay, fall!
