Male, female doesn't matter after a certain point. You should look at RE's with good profiles and success rates. Also the lab.
I was shy when I began the process. A lot of times I would just sit there and not get undressed for the ultrasound. My RE would freak out at me. After so many failures and so many ultrasounds, very used to it now and don't care anymore about anything.

I realize that your primary doc will not do all procedures and tests but for several reasons I would prefer a woman so that’s what I asked about. However, if you have suggestions for a warm, compassionate male provider I would love to hear about him. Or even feedback about practice groups in general would be most welcome.

As I said, I’m new to this and I value you all sharing your experiences.

This is the pp who said to get over yourself--I did just remember being absolutely shocked that the sono tech at GW was male. All the sono people I had ever seen in my entire reproductive lifetime had been female. 7am at GW, barely awake, spreading my legs for a non-physician guy, ah, those were good times.

As someone who also had success with Dr. Abassi I have to warn you that she is very curt and does not hold your hand. If you are looking for someone compassionate, she may not be the kind of doctor you are looking for. However, she is very intelligent and knows her stuff.

I had dr reh for a monitoring appt a few months ago and she was obviously pregnant, maybe 5 months along at the time? She'll probably be on maternity leave in the next few months.

Marci Krop Cook is reston. She has a private practice.

Two successful pregnancies thanks to Dr. Osbourn. She's a straight shooter, but still warm. Dr. Nair did one of my transfers.

At CFA Dr. Abbasi has done 90% of my procedures. I think this statement is only true if you're at a big machine like SG.

Also a patient of hers. We're big fans. We also wanted a female Dr.

We saw Dr. Reh for dc#1 and I really liked her, but my insurance changed to UHC so I may have to go to another RE for the next round.
