I 100% agree. We were redoing our house now and are doing a large shower in the master. The kids bath will still have a tub shower. When when they outgrow it, I think it is important to have a tub in the house.


This. And even if you have a tub in the master, it might be hard to access. Ours is a corner tub and it would be really hard to bathe a baby in.

Pierce a hole through the bottom.


There is a hole punching tool/hardware, and you punch it on top of the hole in the actual shower.
It's used more commonly in Europe where shower only apt are common.
Not saying it's better than having a tub, but it's the next best thing

OP here. Thanks for the responses thus far. We do have a large tub in the MBA. But it sounds like for resale reasons, everyone thinks another tub upstairs is important.
