Oh let me guess. Your pay check is more important.
School bus is safer, more environmentally friendly, allows the child to make friends and works for many family's schedules.
Why do you drive the poor kid?
Oh let me guess, feeling sanctimonious is more important to you than your child's safety, physical or emotional health.
I'm not pp and I see why you felt the need to respond. However, claiming that putting them on the bus is better for their health is jumping the shark.

School buses have 1/7 the injury rate due to accidents compared to passenger cars. Yes, avoiding injury is good for your child's health.

Anonymous wrote:Guys, every teacher/educator recommends taking the bus from day 1 so that the kids learn the routine. Postponing it a week is actually unhelpful, as your kid gets used to one way and then has to tack and do it another, just as all the supports for the new kids (tape on backpacks, etc.) starts to be pulled back.
If you plan on taking the bus, have them do it from day 1. Sanctomommies, you are just plain wrong.
said I am not the nasty poster. You clearly are one. I just said that trying to convince yourself that your kids will be healthier for riding the bus is silly.

See what you think when your kid cannot adjust to college because Mom is not there.
