What's a pot filler?

A faucet above the stove to fill pans so you don't have to walk the heavy, filled pot to the stove. Totally a trophy thing. I cooked professionally and we didn't have them in the restaurant kitchens where I worked.

Nope. It's part of universal design and helpful for aging in place.

Gimme a break
When I am "aging in place " the only thing I need to fill is the drawer with takeout menus.
I cook now and could card less about a pot filler. Not universal.

So if you don't have one, you don't need one. But I'm all for if you *can* have one! why the heck not? Fairly inexpensive, and it he biggest PIA is the plumbing. If you're kitchen is ripped apart anyway, it's certainly a nice to have!

I agree the pot filler thing is ridiculous. Ageing in place? If you can't carry a saucepan full of water then you probably have much bigger issues. It is an over-engineered solution to a non-existent problem.

6 burner stove + grill, 2 ovens and a broiler that's on the top of the oven instead of the very bottom (the kind the you open the top to get.) A refrigerator that has at least 6 temperature and humidity zone (12 would be better.) and a separate freezer. two microwaves.
