2:47 here - I know exactly why I procrastinate so bad as well - its 100% due to fear and fear of failure.

I need to fix that underlying issue and then procrastination i believe would go away.

Ugh - i have put off something i should've done a couple weeks ago - now up trying to motivate mysel to do it.

I hate myself.

so jealous of people who aren't paralyzed by procrastination.

Op here.

Do it today. I have a ton on my to-do list today, too. Let's be productive together and check back. Accountability and all, right? Are you in??

So i got the first part of what i needed to do completed. I've told myself i'm going to hammer it out from 7-11pm tonight. Will keep you updated

I don't procrastinate. I'd be a nervous wreck. My son is a major procrastinator. He does it because he has no sense of time or stress.

Anyone successfully turn around a propensity for procrastination?? I've been like this all my life. I get stuff done, but only at the last minute.

I need to think about it

Let me get back to you on that.

Op here...I kept meaning to get back to this thread, but you know...

Thank you for the advice and commiseration. I may check out that book someone suggested. It can be done, I can be more productive, and less stupid about spending my free time when I have it.

The task seems overwhelming. Maybe try breaking it down into small components that don't take too long to complete.

I have found that when I'm procrastinating, I'm still thinking about what I need to do - such that when I actually sit down to do it, I get it done pretty quickly. I think When I'm procrastinating, I'm actually formulating my thoughts and finding solutions to the task.
