I got the recommendation here about two years ago. Very awesome. We got cordless room darkening honeycomb blinds. They worked out great and the price was good. Best of all, it was all done online and I didn't have to go to a store.

justblinds.com they have cheap and easy to install blinds. We got the cheap paper kind at home depot as well as eclipse room darkening curtain panels at target. They really do help our twins nap and go to sleep when it is still light outside at 8pm. They also help to muffle some traffic noise since one baby sleeps in our bedroom which is facing the street side.

We got darkening blinds from Bed Bath and Beyond. Best investment I ever made.

Absolutely positively the least expensive option, and they work. Just beware the clips used to position the opening/closing position of the blinds: they can come apart and be a choking hazard.

Admittedly, trimming through the plastic "lift" handle was not as easy as advertised. But they look and work great, and no clips.

we got great, inexpensive, cordless honeycomb blinds from jc penney. before we got them we had been using the redishade blackout blinds from amazon which are perfectly ok as cheap options go. basically they are made of thick paper - they kept the light out but a pain if you want to open and shut them regularly and you do need to be careful with little ones with the clips come with them to keep them, but you can just throw them away and keep the blinds shut.
