Federal CareFirst will NOT cover IVF for any reason.

I assume this is in MD? From everything I've read, it's 3 attempts per live births. I've even read that "attempts" are transfers and not actual retrievals, so it's possible to have two retrievals and bank embryos and have it only count as one attempt. I don't know any of this personally, though (I have my consultation next month), it's just what I've seen other people post on forums.

I have carefirst bcbs and ivf was covered we have had one child and tried two other times unsuccessful, my question is when we went through the process we understood it to be three cycles covered, and that was the three however now im hearing it is three cycles per successful birth. can anyone confirm or deny this for me.

I have carefirst blucross and they cover 3 iui's per live birh and 3 ivf's per live birth. My employer is based in Maryland. The plan does say you must be married and not using doner sperm which for me is two strikes however SGF suited it and it was covered

Didn't think they would pay because of the donor sperm or didn't think they would pay because your policy brochure doesn't specify IVF as a covered benefit?
