Also, the way you asked about staying -" do you want me to stay"- it sounds like they were saying " no, you don't need to". Lots of parents have other children also, so it's not convenient for them to hang around. Maybe they thought you preferred to leave.

My guess is the host mom and other moms know you are a nut that is why you were not asked to stay. Your child should be able to recognize whether she needed medical attention. She was probably grumpy and distant because she is sick of her overbearing mother

I think you were less concerned about your daughter and more concerned about the fact that you were excluded from the party. No call necessary and not necessary to invite all parents.

Might be unfriendly or not. As a kid I definitely went to some parties where there were parents. Turned out they weren't the parents of the invited students but friends/co-workers/neighbors of the mom and dad. Some people think -- I'm already making food for this party and I don't want to be supervising kids alone all afternoon, let's see if 5 of my friends want to come over and hang out with me. So you don't necessarily know who those other moms were.

OP, is she your only or your oldest? I think you need to calm way down. You have a long anxiety ridden road ahead of you otherwise.

NP here -- different slant here -- seems a little not friendly, to me, to have a bunch of moms sitting in the back and for the host to not invite you to stay (not for the supervision but for the conversation).

At 9 no way unless I thought they needed medical attention. Shit happens and kids fall. Life goes on good lesson for you and dc to learn
