The PP who said something very kind but noted not particularly caring for his comedy - totally fine in my opinion. The comment about the nanny was crass and not appropriate.

What's the point of having a thread if all people want to post is "so sad" and "I'm shocked"?

The title states, "robin williams suicide." We are talking about his death. Please stay on topic and start another thread if you want to bash.

This is one of the most poignant scenes I will remember, from his incredible career.

What if it had been someone less beloved...like Howard Stern? Ok to say we didn't particularly care for his style of comedy?

I feel sorry for his wives and children. Especially the family he left behind when he shacked up with the nanny.

Is it that hard to let people grieve? He meant something to a lot of people, not just his family. You're not a fan, we get it. Please find something else to keep you busy for awhile.

Respect the dead. What if you (that less beloved person you mentioned), was dead and people talked crap about you? He was in pain and he took his pain away by taking his life. Compassion people.

It is rude to me and anyone who mourns this loss. And it is rude in general to dense grate a recently departed person. It serves no purpose. Why is your anonymous opinion valuable here? It isn't except to you because you are so important.

Way to kick a person that is already down, or in this case, dead. Rude.

If his pain was as great as his talent, I'm surprised he made it this long. RIP and thank you, Robin Williams.

So sad. He had many, many demons. He is definitely one of those comedians who used their humor and entertainment to mask deep internal pain & suffering.
