I had a hysteroscopy, HSG, and another procedure (saline + ultrasound) all done on one day. None of them were fun, but also none were, I'd say, painful. They were uncomfortable. I took an aleve earlier in the day and it was fine. I was never offered anesthesia, and didn't feel like I needed it.
I def felt crampy and was bleeding some for a day or two afterward.

I also was at Shady Grove. I had anesthesia during my hysteroscopies. Honestly, I can't even tell you how many I had done. They were pretty easy. For me, the HSG was horrific pain. I couldn't even drive afterwards. But, I did get pregnant the following month.

It was pretty bad. I was mad that no one gave me a heads up.

I’ve had many. A first, it was no big deal and moderately uncomfortable, but after awhile the pain got so bad I was yelling out in pain during the procedure. I asked my doctor to go under so now I’m asleep and don’t feel anything.

I’ve had two: one to remove a septum and another to remove fibroids...both under general anasthesia (perhaps because in both cases the procedure required a mini D&C).
