One pair of running shoes that I've only used inside on the treadmill.

One pair of old running shoes that I use around the house for errands, etc.

One pair of old school trainers that I wear occasionally when going out. They're cute, but also 9 years old.

My oldest pair I use to run errands, do yardwork, etc. I have a pair at home for exercising, and another pair in my gym bag.

Way to damn many.....

Presently.

Two pair of running shoes that I rotate between and about five older pairs that I use for yard work. Can't seem to part with my older running shoes since I got heavily into running.

General wear (casual fridays, going out running errand type sneakers)......about thirty pairs. I have pairs to match most of the clothing I wear so most of the colors of shirts I have there is a pair of sneakers that matches.

Where do you recycle sneakers that are too worn or beat up to do anything with/donate?

One pair beach running shoes. One pair pavement running shoes, which will eventually become beach shoes. One pair converse, for light runs with the dogs, the gym and everything else.

Outside of work, I almost always wear sneakers, which helps with back problems. I tend to keep 3 pairs - new, worn, and ready for the trash. When I get a new pair, I throw out the trashy pair, and the other two move down the line.

Three. One pair for regular running, one old running pair that I use for walks or whatever, and a pair of waterproof trail runners.
