We don't visit family. They live nearby

$1500 for 3 days?!!
That included the rental car, gas, hotel and 2 day park passes. I think we did ok. We went to Cedar Point and paid in installments for 4 months.
We're not loaded so we do what we can.

I'm not about to drive 12 hours to sleep on the bedroom floor of a friend's kid's room for a night before going camping in a tent and then staying in a motel on the way back, eating fast food and food from packages and cans.
You know what, I bet we have more fun camping and staying with relatives, all cousins piled in together.
Whatever helps you cope. I seriously doubt that.
