Nope. I'm ethnically German and do not care generally for gewurtztraminers or rieslings, etc.

My Scottish grandfather, born in Aberdeenshire, never drank scotch. He preferred Kentucky Bourbon.

I like South American wines the best. And Italian table wines. Don't like whisky at all. I've tried.

Yes -- I am absurdly nostalgic, so I regularly drink wines from my grandparents region and shed a tear. That the wine does not travel well objectively is entirely beside the point.
