The story is developing from interviews of captured Palestinian soldiers. Netanyahu told his cabinet yesterday. So you can choose to concentrate on the exact number of terrorists specifically targeting Kibbutzim if you choose. I will concentrate - and rejoice - in the news that the attack was thwarted early.
Do you believe that this attack was planned? Yes or no.
The tunnels are obviously there. The number and reach are still in dispute. Hamas probably wanted to use those tunnels to capture Israeli soldiers who could be traded for Palestinian prisoners. Killing Israeli civilians or soldiers only results in retaliation. Capturing soldiers can lead to prisoner exchanges. Clearly, there is more return in capturing rather than killing Israelis.
Unless you can point to sources I have not yet seen, your entire second paragraph is based on a single anonymous source. I do not have as much trust in that source as you appear to have.
I do not believe an attack targeting Kibbutzim was planned. I do, however, believe that such a story would be to the benefit of Israel.
Am I to take this as a yes, that Israel is lying about this planned attack? Yes or no, Jeff. Is Israel lying about this planned attack?
Can you point me to a quote from an official Israeli source alleging that such an attack was planned? So far, all I've seen is a claim by a single anonymous source. I don't know if that source is authentic or represents Israel. As such, I don't know if Israel even has a position on this, let alone whether that position is truthful.
Since we are apparently engaging in interrogations of each other, do you believe all rumors supported by single anonymous sources? Yes or no?

How about this video of terrorists in tunnels trying to infiltrate a kibbutz ?

I'm not sure what the point of those links are. They provide no evidence of 1000 or 200 Hamas fighters planning an attack on Rosh Hashanah. There is also nothing to contradict the claim by Hamas that they were intending to attack military targets.
We are now at the stage where we are simply repeating the same things over and over again. If you can find more support for the 1000 Hamas fighter attack, please let me know. I'm going out to dinner now and, as such, will not be able to continue this back and forth. But, since you probably won't say anything you haven't already, please refer to my earlier responses. They should remain valid.

Multiple sources are reporting it. If you had done a simple google search before speaking, you would have known this too.
Hamas ... So benevolent...
Okay, so, I'm not surprised. A "simple google search" showed that just about every right-wing blog is publishing the same article linking back eventually to a Maariv article quoting a single anonymous source. Let's just say that I don't find that persuasive and let me reiterate my initial reaction. You guys will believe anything.
Your whole premise is that Israel lies because you support Palestine. That's all you've got. The more you post, the more unhinged I see you becoming.
I'm glad people see this about you and are starting to post.
