Yes I am also surprise so many people soak in water. The water does not penetrate the husk or the the unhusk corn...waste of time.


You soak them in water to keep the husks from catching on fire.

This is the OP. WE did it last night using the soaking husk method and missed the sweet taste but we couldn't tell if it was the corn that wasn't sweet or the method that didn't bring it out.

I spray with oil and put directly on the grill (husked). It's good but my kids prefer a quick boil (no "black parts").

I also roast mine... Shuck, put in casserole type dish with just a touch of water, cover and roast... It's delicious!

Yes! Abso freakin lutely!

Remove from husks, slather wih butter or olive oil, seasom to taste, wrap (loosely) in foil, and grill for 15 to 20 min, turning frequently until done.
