OP again. I ended up warpping saran wrap around it and leaving it overnight with the intention of addressing it later. That was a few weeks ago....kind of just left it there. I think they are dead now!

Wasps are good polinators and prey on bothersome insects that will screw with your plants. If they aren't bothering you, why get rid of them.

Now yellow jackets, OTOH...nasty fuckers that can sting over and over without dying. I hope the PP who got stung executed those fuckers. HUMANS FIRST!

Probably because you left it alone. I'm guessing the PP meant if you disturbed the nest, they'd come get you.

We had a bald-faced hornets' nest on our house one year, up by the roof. Nobody got tracked down by their breath. Nobody got stung.

Got one of these hornet's nest in my tree. Terminex is coming out tomorrow for $215. I have young kids so I have to get rid of it.
