There is no way you heard fireworks in your street every night past midnight the last few weeks. You're just being dramatic so you can justify your bitching.

People on DCUM are so desperate to appear classy.

Not liking loud noises suddenly means you are automatically not trashy? You guys are so far up your own asses I'm surprised you could even hear the fireworks that bother you so badly.

Wait, what? If we are not pissed off about late fireworks on the 4th of July then we're trashy and wear jorts? How did I not get this memo?

There were just a bunch set if in my neighborhood and tubs nearly 1 am. So aggravating. Luckily my kids slept through them. At least it's a weekend tomorrow.

+1 and I felt this way before having kids, too. I don't enjoy a constant stream of loud, somewhat unpredictable banging.

Same here. But you can see clearly by this thread that there is a dichotomy between the trashy people who like them and the non-trashy people who aren't thrilled about them, kids or no. Now where is that hilarious thread about jorts and bud light? It goes hand in hand my friends.

Move somewhere where fireworks aren't allowed.

It's one day a year. You will live.

BTW, it is scary how many people have professional-quality fireworks. There was a crazy display near 13th and Upshur about 11:15 or 11:30 last night. It honestly looked like a Nats game. The whole block was full of smoke.

Some of you all must live a miserable life. Go hide under a rock. No noise there.

I think 11pm is reasonable. Too bad the trashy fireworks people in my neighborhood kept going until 1am+.

Ugh, you people are more patient than I am. I was silently cursing each one after 10 or so. My poor dog was trembling all night until 1 am or so. I hate that people can set off their own here.

Since the holiday is on a Friday this year, probably anytime after 1 AM.

How many times do we get to say "Happy Birthday" to this great Mother country of ours, huh??!
