If your kid doesn't qualify for AAP, they still can take up to three AAP classes if they test into it each quarter (well, testing and space availability). Great community and fun school. Also, easy commute to DC.

What does that mean?
People on this board will tell you that...
Woodson kids are the most likely to commit suicide
McLean kids are the most likely to start porn sites
Langley kids are the most likely to belittle your child for not wearing Vineyard Vines
Madison kids are the most likely to join gangs
Marshall kids are the most likely to suck at sports
Oakton kids are most likely to be Asian
They're all good schools, but this board is nowhere to get accurate information about the schools. The parents here all have bizarre hidden agendas.

Woodson and McLean pyramids are both more highly regarded than Marshall.

There's a lot more to being the "best" than rankings. It's a subjective term.
Only an idiot would base their school choice on test scores alone.
Nice try, but only an idiot would stick Marshall in with Langley, Madison and Oakton, all of which have high test scores by the way, as the four best HS in FCPS. If you look at real estate listings, the number emphasizing that homes are zoned for McLean or Woodson far outstrips the number mentioning that a house is zoned for Marshall.

Glad to see you found your way over to the AAP board, Marshall basher![]()
