I would do what Julie did, I wanted to be a Cruise Director. Her job looked like so much fun, she got to walk around the ship all day, greeting passengers and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves.

Unfortunately on "The Love Boat" none of the passengers ever got seasick or those weird viruses that cruise ship passengers get nowadays. Nor did they ever get stranded at sea either.

Don't forget the coke. Julie did a lot of coke.

Lol.

That was off screen. On screen, she was Miss Sunshine, remember? Never seen w/out her smile.

Now the song that is awesome from that era is the theme song from The Greatest American Hero. "Believe it or not, I'M walkin on air......."

I flove this song.

I like that song a lot too -- never watched the show much (age 40)

Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.

Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)

Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

One I liked much better - from All in the Family:
"Those Were The Days"

Boy, the way Glen Miller played. Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us, we had it made. Those were the days.
And you know who you were then, girls were girls and men were men.
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.
Didn't need no welfare state. Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee, our old LaSalle ran great. Those were the days.

I agree with the pp that this song is a little sad, except for the chorus.

Now the song that is awesome from that era is the theme song from The Greatest American Hero. "Believe it or not, I'M walkin on air......."

And of course, Fame.

Yes, I do love that song.

Also, my 7 yr old self preternaturally sensed that Vinny babarino was just posturing as a ladies man, and in fact he didn't like the ladies at ALL. But I didn't have the words to describe this situation at age 7.
