We secured the release of our POWs from the Hanoi Hilton, most of whom were Commissioned Officers. The war was not finished! Then the North attacked South Vietnam and it fell to the Communists. Enlisted ground forces who were captured and taken as POWs were never returned from Vietnam or Korea.

Americans don't give a damn about enlisted men an women who are taken as POWs.

As far as John McCain is concerned it was fine to save his ass and then let the nation for which we had sacrificed 58k American lives was fine, but to secure the release of a Marine Corps Sergeant is wrong.

This demonstrates again how the Republican have contempt for working class people. The vast majority of the prisoners held in North Vietnam were Commissioned Officers in the Air Force and the Navy. They were aviators who had been shot down over North Vietnam. We secured their release and then we let South Vietnam fall to the Communists.

According to John McCain that was fine, but he says securing the release of an enlisted man was wrong. What a f-king hypocrite.

Those of us who served as enlisted service men and women know there is a very definite class system in the armed forces. We lived with it and we saluted every dope we passed on the street who was wearing shoulder boards even if we had eighteen years of service and that Second Lieutenant had only served six months.

We knew we were expendable and would be used like pons on a chess board. However, we never believed we would be scorned when we returned home from war or that our country would not do everything possible to secure our release if we were captured.

Enlisted men and women across this country. Those of you out there who were never allowed to enter the O-Club, please support Sgt. Bergdahl and shun anyone who criticizes his release.

They should have just let him die as a POW. after all he's just a working class American marine. Now if he were the son of a Navy Admiral he might be worth saving. If you don't believe me, just ask Senator John McCain.

What? You do know that the Viet Cong offered to release McCain early because of his dad. He refused unless all were released.
