He wouldn't have taken issue with pics in the past. The last pic in the album is the three of them, son, ex, and grandson, at grandson's elementary graduation. Last June.

He's having a problem with them now, and it seems tied to his new gf.

I am in all of the ber mitzvah pics in my ex boyfriend's family. I was very important to him in the yeaers his nieces and nephews turned thirteen. Group shots including me are on his parent's dining room wall.

Are they supposed to pretend these simchas never happened just because I attended? Of course not.

My parents had a hateful marriage. It breaks my heart when they refer to my entire childhood as a miserable period.

To this guy: grow up. To mom: wonderful gift. You can join my family if you want appreciation.

Regardless, there are worse offenses a mother can do to her son + no one knows what tomorrow will bring or not bring, and life is too short to stop speaking to your mother over such things.

If there relationship split under circumstances like those bolded above, AND he feels his mother dismissed it/blamed him for it at the time (e.g. Mom told him that if he made more money/lost some weight the ex wouldn't have cheated, etc. etc.) then I think this reaction might be understandable. Not graceful or mature, but understandable.

Otherwise, he's just plain out of line.

The next photo book should have the new girlfriend's face photoshopped on the ex-DW's body.

Lots of jealous new girlfriend threads right now. I suspect it is related to the horrible winter we just had. Those ladies survived it and promised themselves that they would never again have to shovel out their own cars.
