I am having some luck this year! I just got 3 pots and stuck them in my driveway where it's sunny. I bought a variety called Fourth of July that ripens by, well, the fourth of July. Had one ripe one last week and three more on the vine now. Unfortunately the one last week wasn't any more tasty than what you can get at the grocery store, but I was excited simply to grow a tomato successfully.

Now my yellow cherry tomatoes are ripening, and I have an heirloom variety that has produced some fruits that will be ready in a few weeks.

My coworker brought in a HUGE bag of cherry tomatoes yesterday. I am a bit jealous. Mine are all green.

I just picked my first two yesterday!

OP here: PPs were right, we have lots of fruit, but nothing has ripened yet. However, one of the fruits is starting to get some color, so I'm hoping that it won't be too long!

We've eaten a couple of cherry tomatoes already! Tomatoes really like our yard for some reason.

Seeing lots of fruit now. I have brandywine a, Livingston globes, golden queen, ruby green, Cherokees and san marzanos. Everything has at least one set of fruits and other flowers.

I am the poster you are responding to and you misunderstood my post: I don't have tomatoes yet AND I don't make 500k. So 0/2. I *do* have a teeny tiny pepper and a teeny tiny cucumber so I consider my first year of veggie gardening an unmitigated success!

I nipped a sucker about three days ago and put it in water to transplant after it grew roots. The darn thing is flowering. Should I let it stay put or try to put it in some soil? Is it even likely to turn into fruit?

I have a lot of tomatoes growing but none ripe yet. I may have one or two ripe enough by the end of June. I'm growing the early girl variety so they're supposed to be ready by July.

1. Location. Maybe your garden doesn't support them. In this case, grow something else.
2. Water them a lot as they grow, then ignore them as the fruit. I think Toms benefit from abuse once they start to fruit.

I just picked three beautiful cherry tomatoes on Sunday. Unbelievably early but so delicious. I don't see any others ripening yet but have dozens of green ones.

And my eggplants (two plants) have about a dozen fruits on them already. I guess it's the weather.

On the other hang, my poor yellow squashes are rotting on the vine from all the rain. Boo.

Op here. I think tomatoes are a lesson in heartbreak, especially since there is always someone around that talks about how they have so many tomatoes, they don't know what to do. Boo hoo. Using tomato tone seems to have really helped me this year, but I'm knocking furiously on wood b/c none of mine have ripened yet. Good luck!
