Were the Basset Hounds in the room for small or large dogs?

We had two Basset Hounds that came. One was really old and while he was clearly happy to be there and see us, he mostly just slept. The other one (Molly) was very sweet. I can't remember her ever having a problem with another dog and she was always very happy to see us but very polite. She would never jump up but would come and sit by me for a little bit when she got there in the morning. Then she would go and say hi to the other dogs. All the other dogs seemed to like her and I seriously can't remember having one problem with her.

I love boxers, but they do not do well in a daycare setting. We had I think 5 or 6 that came to daycare on a regular basis and they started probably close to 80% of the fights. The first thing I was told when I started working was to watch the boxers. I think we had one the was really playful and did great, but the rest would stand like statues until something bothered them and then they would just lose it. The fights they started were usually just a lot of noise, I can't remember any of them really hurting another dog. They were just very temperamental. Also when they did try and play with other dogs they were very stiff about it. They would either run their whole body into the other dog or try to hit them or I guess box them. I got the idea that they are just a very loyal breed and were on edge when their owners weren't around. When their owners came to pick them up they turned into totally different dogs.

That's so good to hear. They are such a demanding breed and can be pretty neurotic- they have a bad rep. We love ours (and he is most overly socialized!), but I understand the breed isn't for everyone

Yes, we had a small dog room and then 3 different areas to put the big dogs. Some dogs just didn't get along with one particular dog, so having the different areas allowed us to separate them into groups that did well together.
